Growing in Christ: Discipling Your Family

Join us April 30 for a Family Discipleship Conference

NO REGISTRATION NEEDED IF YOU DO NOT NEED CHILDCARE!

Session 1: (Two Parts) Spiritual Formation in the Home taught by Johnny Markham, Family Minister, College Hills Church of Christ, Lebanon, TN. In this two-part session, Johnny will guide us through an examination of Spiritual Formation in the Home. With over 35 years of youth and family ministry experience, he has helped hundreds of families transform their homes into centers of spiritual formation.

Part One at 10:30am will address the basics of spiritual formation in the home: what it IS; what it ISN’T; and why spiritual formation in every phase is so important.

Part Two at 12:00pm will focus on the necessary elements for fostering spiritual formation in the lives of our children.

Session 2: Equipping Our Children: Preparing Over Projecting taught by Beth Blair, LPC. Parents often project their own fears, insecurities, anxieties, and frustrations to their children without realization. Our children are directly and indirectly impacted by our emotional blindspots and issues. In this session, we’ll learn how to prepare our children for a flourishing life while minimizing the impact of our own insecurities and anxieties.

Session 3: Navigating Difficult Topics: How to talk about Hot Button Issues with your Family taught by Casey Farris, President of Madison Academy. Our children are growing up in a rapidly changing world. As parents, we must equip ourselves to help our young people navigate difficult topics such as transgenderism, sexual identity and gender issues. Casey will give practical guidance for families in need of help as they work through these challenging conversations.
