Promises Set
Theme Verse: 2 Corinthians 1:20 - God has made a great many promises. They are all “Yes” because of what Christ has done. So through Christ we say “Amen.” We want God to receive glory.
Promise of Protection - Proverbs 18:10
The name of the Lord is a strong tower; The righteous run to it and are safe.
Promise of Comfort - Psalm 23:4
Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me.
Promise of Belonging - Matthew 19:14
Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me. Don’t keep them away. The kingdom of heaven belongs to people like them.”
Promise of Support - Zephaniah 3:17
“The Lord your God is with you. He is the Mighty Warrior who saves. He will take great delight in you.In his love he will no longer punish you. Instead, he will sing for joy because of you.”
Promise of Direction - Deuteronomy 31:8
“The Lord himself will go ahead of you. He will be with you. He will never leave you. He’ll never desert you. So don’t be afraid. Don’t lose hope.”
Promise of Compassion - Psalm 145:9
The Lord is good to all; he has compassion on all he has made.
Promise of Provision - Philippians 4:19
And my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus.
Promise of Goodness - Romans 8:28
We know that in everything God works for the good of those who love him. They are the people God called, because that was his plan.
Promise of Strength - Psalm 46:1
God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.
Promise of Peace - John 14:27
