Rocking The Waves
Run to Jesus
Gather with your family.
Read Mark 4:35-41 together.
Have you ever been to the beach? What is your favorite part? Is it playing in the water, building sand castles, collecting shells, or catching crabs?
If you've ever been to the beach when a yellow or red flag is out, that means that there is a strong current and it is dangerous to get in the water. But even when the water isn't dangerous because of the current, the crashing waves can still be scary.
We can have "waves" in our lives too; scary things that happen to us. But guess what? "Jesus knows a thing or two about waves" and Jesus is always with you when you feel scared, lonely, sick or hurt. Jesus is always with you.
End your time together by praying as a family.
Consider using the prayer included in the Wonder of the Week Family Devotional or pray your own prayer.
